  Sydney Swans vs Essendon Bombers

ANZ Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park

The Sydney Swans take on the Essendon Bombers at ANZ Stadium, Sunday 18 May. The gates open 10.45am with the first bounce at 2.10pm. A big crowd is expected, so it’s best to leave the car at home and catch public transport.

Special event tickets
All tickets to the game include entry and travel on public transport (to and from the game) on:

• CityRail Trains
• Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses
• Regular Sydney Buses
• Sydney Ferries

Please note: an additional station access fee applies for travel from Green Square, Mascot, Domestic and International Airport stations to the City. You will need to purchase a separate ticket.

Getting to the game
CityRail is running direct shuttle services between Central and Olympic Park Station approximately every 8 minutes from 12.00pm until 4.00pm. These services also stop at Redfern and Strathfield stations.

If you are from the Inner West, North Shore and South line stations, travel to Lidcombe Station^ and catch the Olympic Park Sprint. Departs every 10 minutes to Olympic Park.

Some areas (Illawarra Line, Bankstown Line, Airport & East Hills Line and Northern Line) are also serviced by Sydney Olympic Park Major Events Buses. These buses provide direct services to and from Sydney Olympic Park.

Getting home after the game
Remember to keep your ticket safe for your return journey, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport.

After the game, trains from Olympic Park to Central will operate every 5 minutes up until 6.30pm. The final service to depart Olympic Park for Central is at 7.30pm.

Trackwork information
Due to upgrading work buses will replace trains on the following lines:

Western Line: between Penrith and Blacktown
Blue Mountains Line: between Lithgow and Blacktown

Remember to plan ahead and allow extra travel time for your journey.

Travel tips
• Pre-purchase your game ticket to take advantage of inclusive travel. If you are collecting your event ticket at ANZ Stadium you will need to purchase a valid ticket for travel to Sydney Olympic Park.

• Keep your ticket safe for your return journey, as you must have a valid ticket to travel on public transport

• Large crowds are expected so travel early and allow plenty of time for your journey.

• Central
• Strathfield
• Parramatta
• Blacktown
• Auburn
• Lidcombe*
• Olympic Park

* There is no access from the lift on platform 4 to and from the concourse at Lidcombe Station. If you are travelling on services from the Airport & East Hills, Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra and North Shore lines and you have a pram or require wheelchair access, you are advised to travel to Strathfield Station for a direct service to Olympic Park Station. After the game you should catch a direct service from Olympic Park to Strathfield for a connecting train.

If you are travelling home on the Bankstown or Inner West lines (via Regents Park) you should catch a direct service to Strathfield and change for a connecting train.

Do not hold the doors open or attempt to board the train after the whistle and 'doors closing' warning has been given. This will allow the train to depart punctually.
