Follow the Safety Trail pack for primary schools

The Follow the Safety Trail poster and picture set supplements the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education syllabus and for safety messages in the video package sent to primary schools in February 2004. It is also a support resource for the stage one Human Society and its Environment syllabus support module Transport.

Follow the Safety Trail pack

The package, developed by RailCorp and the Department of Education, is designed to assist teachers in educating school students about the key rail safety messages and to inform students about the contributions different types of workers make towards a safe and reliable rail network.

Each Follow the Safety Trail pack contains a set of 10 posters and 15 A5 picture cards. The posters reinforce the main safety messages young student commuters need to observe and show the main types of trains in RailCorp’s fleet. The 15 cards describe the ways in which the RailCorp network is used and feature a range of rail occupations.

The package, which is intended to stimulate class discussion about personal safety, is free of charge to schools and teachers. Click here to order your set online.
