Security on stations

CityRail station staff are trained to assist in emergency evacuations and to administer first aid. They also monitor security issues for notification to Police or relevant authorities.

In addition, there are 600 RailCorp Transit Officers on the CityRail network who are also authorised under the Rail Safety Act (2002) and the Rail Safety (General) Regulation (2003) to target anti social behaviour and ticketing offences.
